News · Scrappy display by Wildcats earn them a Draw

Riley boy’s soccer traveled down to Argos Saturday morning. After 40 minutes of back and forth, both teams were even at 0-0.  Alejandro Rendon had to make a great save going airborne to push the ball over the crossbar at the last second. Luis Bravo had the best chance for Riley but the touch got away from him at the last moment.  After the break, the Argos team were awarded a penalty kick and their striker converted it. With time running out and the heat beginning to take a toll, Wes Hadley sent a nice ball up and over the top of the flat defense and Bravo ran on to it and this time he slotted the ball past the keeper to level the game. With just minutes left Riley had the best chances as Argos attempts to push up and stay flat were negated by time runs by the Wildcat forwards. The game ended 1-1.

This week the Boy’s program have away to John Glenn 9/4 and away to Marian 9/6.
